Who we are

The operator of swaptic.app (“Swaptic”, “we”) is the controller of personal data processed to run the Service. Contact: hello@swaptic.app.

What we collect

Account identity from Google, X, or email sign-up (name, email, and a hashed password if you use email). Profile, city, skills, availability, bookings, messages, ratings, credit ledger, reports, blocks, and Terms acceptances (time, version, IP address, and browser). Paid orders and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers if you buy Plus or a boost. Assistant and bio-helper text you choose to send. Technical logs such as IP and user agent for security.

We do not record video hours. Currency preference is stored on your device. We do not sell your data.

Why we use it

To create your wallet, match listings, hold and release credits, run video rooms, bill optional membership, prevent abuse, keep a record that you accepted the Terms, and improve the Service. Legal bases under UK/EEA law: contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (security, fraud, product), consent (optional AI chat and marketing if we ever send any), and legal obligation where we must keep records.

Who else sees it

Other members see the profile and listings you publish. Messages stay between the two of you unless we need them for a report or a legal request. Processors who help us run the Service may include: our database host, our app host, Stripe (payments), Google or X (sign-in), the video meeting provider, and the AI model provider for optional assistant text. They may process data outside your country. Where we transfer data from the UK/EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses as required.

How long we keep it

While your account is open. After deletion we remove public profile data. We may keep ledger, Terms acceptance, payment, and safety records as long as needed for disputes, tax, fraud, or law — typically up to six years, or longer if a claim is outstanding.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, and port your data, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account from Profile. Email hello@swaptic.app for other requests. You may complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO; in the EEA, your national DPA, for example UODO in Poland).

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in and security. We store your currency choice on this device. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; the Service will not sign you in without the essential ones.

Children

Do not use Swaptic if you are under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above will change. Material changes will be posted on this page.
